**ACCEPTING NEWBORNS ONLY**

 Mrs. Hope Bird has been a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) since 1997 and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2005. She received her BSN from the University of Maryland and her MSN from the University of Maryland, Advanced Practice PNP in the Department of Maternal/Child health. She worked for eight years in the Pediatric Emergency Department at the University of Maryland Medical System and Sinai Hospital before joining our practice in 1997.

 She resides in Eldersburg with her husband and has two adult children. Mrs. Bird was co-owner of ThistleBird Lactation Consulting Services, LLC from 2015-2024, and has a special interest in newborns and feeding difficulties.

 In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family in Bethany Beach, Delaware. She and her family also enjoy providing foster care for dogs in transition.
